Apple CEO Tim Cook inaugurated the largest retail store in Shanghai, China,Asia, on Thursday. He opened the doors and welcomed Chinese consumers.

The new store, the eighth in Shanghai, is in Jing’ansi Square, a busy area in the city. It’s the second-largest Apple store globally. The biggest is in Dubai

More than 150 employees work at the flagship store. They can speak English, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, and Malay, as well as 25 varieties of Chinese dialects.

Diana Chou, market director for East China, Apple Retail, said Apple values Chinese consumers. She mentioned that Apple stores in China are very busy.

“The new store is a great addition to Apple’s retail presence in China,” she said.

Apple also held a sharing session with Chinese suppliers like BYD, Lens Technology, and Shenzhen Everwin Precision Technology Co., Ltd. They showcased their latest achievements in smart manufacturing, green manufacturing, and talent training.
