The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) announced on Sunday that the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit of 2024 will happen in Beijing on May 13.

At a press conference, CCPIT spokesperson Zhao Ping revealed that 34 countries and regions, along with 159 overseas institutions, have registered for the summit. Attendees will include heads of international organizations and economic institutions like Dilma Rousseff, president of the New Development Bank, as well as leaders from chambers of commerce, business associations, trade promotion facilities, and top representatives from companies like Tesla and Walmart.

Zhao emphasized that this year’s summit aims to facilitate discussions among global business leaders on improving supply chains. It will also promote exchanges between entrepreneurs from the United States and China to realize the “San Francisco Vision” and address other pertinent issues.
