An official announcement on Monday stated that global enterprises and buyers will attend the 135th session of the China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the 2024 Canton Fair.
Scheduled to run from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou, the capital of south China’s Guangdong Province, the fair will see an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters. Approximately 28,600 firms will participate in the export section, with over 4,300 of them being new exhibitors. Additionally, 680 companies are set to attend the import section.
Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen mentioned at a press conference that the online platform of the fair will remain operational throughout the year.
Pre-registration has been completed by 93,000 purchasers from 215 countries and regions, according to Wang.
Since its inception in 1957, the fair has been held twice a year and is regarded as a significant indicator of China’s foreign trade.
